Congress gets most of the headlines, but when it comes to stopping fossil fuel infrastructure in its tracks, there are critical elections on all levels of the ballot.
We’re doubling down on electing local climate leaders who will stand up to the fossil fuel industry, and we need your help.
Last year you joined us to work with Lead Locally, and we helped elect three local climate leaders who are already stopping and delaying massive fossil fuel projects. This year, we’re working with Lead Locally again to elect local climate champs. Each one of them has taken the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge and will be ready to stop infrastructure from Day One:
- Christa Yoakum for Nebraska’s Public Service Commission – If elected, she’ll have the power to stop the Keystone XL Pipeline once and for all;
- Katy Eymann for Oregon’s Coos County Commission – If elected, she’ll have the power to stop the Jordan Cove LNG project and pipeline;
- Stephanie Garcia Richard for New Mexico’s Public Lands Commissioner – If elected, she’ll have the power to stop fracking and pipelines in the huge Permian oil and gas basin.
Volunteering is easy – just sign up and tell us when you’re available, and you’ll be put in touch with Lead Locally and plugged directly into helping these great candidates. These are shifts for making phone calls and sending text messages to undecided voters in OR, NE, and NM, and you’ll be able to help directly from the comfort of your own home.
Together we can elect these real climate leaders and turn the tide against the fossil fuel industry by reclaiming our democracy, one seat at a time. Sign up today to chip in.
